It might not be Movember just yet, but we’re already anxiously awaiting the return of one soup strainer that’s impossible to forget.
Since their last Australian tour in 1991, Hall & Oates have provided inspiration for a string of artists including Chromeo and Kanye. And, perhaps most memorably, their hit song I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do) has featured as the backing track for some of Bob Fossil’s sweet dance moves on the Mighty Boosh.
For these reasons (and many more) we’re psyched to hear that the best-selling duo and yacht rock wizards will be returning Down Under for a series of winery and theatre shows in early 2012.
The tour will start in New Zealand, before making its way across the waters to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide in early February. The newly reformed Icehouse (who you can also catch later this year at Meredith) will join them in bringing the soft rock.
Tickets go on sale September 7, so make sure you get in early if you want to secure yourself a heavy dose of ’80s nostalgia.
